Peabody Energy Coal Preparation Plants

Once depleted of coal, Air Quality #1 and Air Quality South were slated for demolition. Recyclable steel was the main building component of the 5 story preparation plants, thus providing a revenue stream to the owner. By utilizing the time tested method of “tripping”, both the preparation plant and the concrete coal silos were weakened and then toppled.
Jasper Chair Warehouse Salvage

Built in the 1920’s and constructed of locally harvested oak, maple, and long limb pine, this 20,000 square feet warehouse was deconstructed rather than demolished. Klenck Company utilized Barns-N-Boards, a wood reclamation professional located in Morton, Illinois. Thousands of board feet of wood were recovered prior to the demolition of the warehouse foundation.
Crescent Hill

737 Airplane Demolition

A project that took the company in an unusual direction, the demolition of a retired 737 passenger airplane was a complete success for our Indianapolis office. Prior to Klenck Company mobilizing, the airplane was stripped of valuable salvage that included the seats, controls, etc. Working for Aircraft Demolition LLC, Klenck was tasked with the hoisting of the nose for salvage and the demolition of the craft itself.
